Consulting Operations

DIRECT REPORTS TO THIS ROLE: Team Leads/Project Manager

KEY OBJECTIVE
(Outline key/overall objectives of the role)
• Oversee the management of multiple delivery projects for a Region, with full responsibility for ensuring that the TUGBU India Delivery Center meets all requirements in the delivery of a quality application to the Customer within agreed time and cost plans. The Projects could be New Implementations, Maintenance (Post Production Support and CRs), Testing Projects(Testing Phases of the SDLC), Test Automation Development (Creation on Regression Suites) etc. Products to be implemented are the Oracle Utilities Suite of Products of Customer Care and Billing, Meter Data Management, Mobile Workforce management, Market Messaging (MTM), Enterprise Tax Management (ETM) etc..
• Provide line management for about 30 professional consulting delivery staff


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Delivery management expertise (resourcing, governance, quality) and project implementation support around subject matter expertise
• Customer management responsibilities:
• Establish and manage the relationship between the customer(both Internal Oracle and External Clients) and TUGBU India Delivery Center
• Ensure that all relevant information about the customer relationship is understood and adhered to by the TUGBU India Delivery Center team
• Manage Customer expectations
• Delivery/Practice management responsibilities:
• Ensure successful delivery of projects (Schedule, Quality, Budget)
• Plan and determine, in conjunction with Team Leaders/Project Managers, the assignment of staff to projects and the scheduling of administrative time (including training, vacation, etc.)
• Manage staff utilization and profitability at the portfolio level
• Ensure that all staff members comply with the TUGBU India Delivery Center Software Engineering processes


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
(Indicate the essential experience, qualifications and attributes required to perform this position effectively)
• University degree in IT, Computer Science or any of its equivalent
• At least Twelve(12) years consulting or industry experience
• At least three (3) years experience in consulting services, as Program Manager/Delivery Lead, preferably in a multi-national organization
• Proven customer facing experience within professional service organizations
• Proven project management experience in IT project delivery
• Experience in remote consulting and remote development methodology
• Knowledge of Developing Customizations on Java Based Applications, thorough understanding of the Design, Development, Testing and Release phases of the SDLC.
• Experience in mentoring other managers and senior staff
• Knowledge in Customer Management and Billing Systems is a plus
• Energy industry knowledge is a plus
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
